The rest of my weekend was nice! My friend came over and looked at my apartment. She loved it!! I got my furniture delivered this weekend! At least my chair for my living room! It's all coming together! I really want to show you guys pictures, but it's not quite ready, yet!
I go to Kohl's to look at some bedding. It's in a town ten minutes from my house called, Coconut Creek. It's such a cute place! Can I just tell you the Wal-Mart there looks like paradise? It's unreal! From afar, I noticed the blue roof, but thought, there's no way that could be Wal-Mart! Sure enough, it was. First off, it's huge! Second, the drive is lined with palm trees! Are you kidding me? It's Wal-Mart! Altoona's Wal-Mart is lucky to get a shrub coming up through the cracks in the cement! Even Jordan Creek's Wal-Mart looks ghetto compared to this one! I'm definitely going back to take a picture, because you won't believe your eyes!
So, I've been addicted to The Hills' marathon. Apparently, the final season starts on Tuesday! So much has happened since I left the cable world! My friend told me, "Welcome back to reality." Exactly, Maddie. You couldn't be more right! It's so sad how life revolves around this, and you really have no idea of the outside world unless you live on the Internet, or are able to flip on the television for a couple of minutes! At least, the reality world. So sad. Even though I feel myself getting more dumb the more I watch it, I can't help it! Thank goodness tonight, I'm watching the ever-anticipated History Channel's, "America: The Story of Us." Fascinating! I love history! They say that almost everyone can trace their ancestry to the Mayflower. I CAN!! My ancestors came over on the ship-o'-glory! ;)
I lay out for an hour again today. I did red, but luckily, do not look like a lobster! This sun is brutal down here! And it was even overcast! But I need to get tan so I look good in my yellow bridesmaid dress! I can't be the ghost in all of the pictures! ;) Then, I go to a promotional deal for work. It's at the movie theatre here in Boca. Okay. First of all. It's the best movie theatre I've ever seen in my life! It's unreal!
The outside looks like a palace! They have valet parking! What kind of movie theatre does this?? The lobby has chandeliers, rounded-vault ceilings, marble floors, etc.! They have your typical concession stand, but listen to this! You buy a ticket for around $15 and you go upstairs! Here, there is a restaurant, where they have all kinds of food, and you get free popcorn and wine to watch your movie!!! Insane!!! How much fun would this be on a date? You get dinner, drinks, and a movie all in one place!! I love it!
I'm sitting there, working, and make friends. The manager of the movie theatre tells me I should go see a movie after I'm done working. "I would love to," I tell him. "What would you like to see?" He asks. "I would love to see 'Date Night.'" So, he goes and gets me a ticket! This was the first time I went to a movie by myself! It wasn't bad, if I do say so myself! I get myself a little kiddie-size popcorn and candy and head in. It's slightly nerve-wracking to go in by yourself, so I tried to play it cool. Of course, as you all know, that never ends up happening. Nope. Instead, I spill some of my popcorn on the floor, dropping my drink to my straw. At the bottom of the stairs. In front of everyone. Sweet.
The movie is hysterical! Oh my goodness!!! You have to go see it, if you haven't already! I was laughing so hard, my stomach hurt! Steve Carell and Tina Fey have got to be two of the funniest people ever! They make for the perfect comedic couple! Great movie quotes that will most definitely come up in typical conversation.
Note to self: Never ever buy organic peanut butter from Publix. It tastes like sawdust! When you open the container and oil spills over the lid, it makes you want to vomit a little bit. Then, when you try to mix it all together, and the peanut butter slides off your spoon, you want to vomit even more! Peanut butter is not suppose to be of soup-like consistency! When you try to help the environment, it gets you no where. Wasted money, empty belly, and a can of peanut butter that will not get eaten. So, you put it in the fridge, thinking it may harden up. But then when you start writing this, you realize how disgusting this sounds. Suck it up, go buy the Jiffy and toss out the glass-jarred, earth-friendly peanut butter!
Who knew that John Hancock and Paul Revere were one of the first members of what is now Bank of America. I'm telling you, you have to watch this!!! The History Channel's, "America: The Story of Us."
I love sweets! Sweet treats, sweet deals and sweet ideas for decorating is what I enjoy the most. Check out my ideas for great parties with friends, sugary recipes and great deals I have found to create a fresh and fun home!

Day 33
October 9, 2009
I want to be like HGTV today, so I decide it’s time to start hanging things on my walls. It looks great, but I’m not the best at measuring and placing. Let’s just say that I like to hang things on the walls, and if I don’t like where I put it, I take the nails out and start over. I think I may have put five too many holes in my walls. =) Oops!
I am getting quite a few take-out menus under my door the last few days. It’s wonderful! I think take-out is one of the best things ever invented. A while back, I am heading towards Central Park and along the way, I pick up every single take-out menu the restaurants have. Every ten seconds, my arm pops out and grabs a menu. I must look really hungry! Now, I have the best stash of take-out menus, so whatever you want, I have it for you!
For work, I have to run to Office Depot and pick up some bubble wrap. Not a big deal, until I get there and see that it only comes in a huge box! Man! I have to carry that thing all the way through Times Square! I already look dumb sporting Planet Hollywood gear all over my body, now I’m bumping into everyone and their mother down the street with a huge box of bubble wrap! My cool factor goes down daily from working there! =)
A guy comes in today and asks me how long the wait is, I tell him; then he asks the time, so I turn around and look at the computer. He leaves. Then a co-worker comes in and says he just saw the man steal a golf ball! Ha! I didn’t even notice...not that I care anyway, but I should probably be on the alert more often. I wouldn’t want to pay $3 for a golf ball either. ;)
“Ooh, those rain boots are really cute.” I think to myself. This girl has a really cute pair on—who was she, you ask? Diana DeGarmo—the singer from American Idol. She looks amazing! I don’t even recognize her! Good thing my co-worker points her out because, once again, I’m not paying attention. My mind wanders too much. I need to learn to focus!
Two women walk in and I give my schpeel to them. When I ask where they are from, they say Mexico City, so I say, “Perfect!” Keep in mind, you have to be from the U.S. to sign up (a social security card is required). They say they don’t have a social, so I figure their illegal’s. Okay, go up to the third floor. It’s not until later that I think, maybe Mexico City isn’t in the United States. Yeah, it’s not. It’s definitely in Mexico. I also need to learn my geography!
Then, a tall black man with a grill and blinged out chain walks in with his “posse” and a cameraman. He shakes my hand and tells me he is from MTV. I see the cameraman filming me, so I put on my best smile and energetic attitude. This could be my 15 minutes of fame! It’s Chopper—an up and coming rapper. He looks like Li’l Wayne, but not so little. He is really nice! So, look for me on his soon-to-be-featured reality show! ;)
Note to self: Always look your best. You never know who you’re going to run into. Maybe you shouldn’t wear your hair in a ponytail and sport your glasses on a Friday night at work. Who cares if you are tired and you have a headache. Get over it and always be fabulous! You were being filmed for a reality television show—are you going to be happy with your debut looking the way you do? Hell no! Then when friends ask you to meet them out at a bar after work, you won’t be embarrassed when gorgeous men are all over the place. Who’s going to hit on a girl with glasses, ponytail, and a black jacket with scarf, when there are half-naked women surrounding them? Let’s just say, not many. Damn! Always have a spare glamour look in your over-sized bag!
