April 24 - April 25, 2010
The rest of my weekend was nice! My friend came over and looked at my apartment. She loved it!! I got my furniture delivered this weekend! At least my chair for my living room! It's all coming together! I really want to show you guys pictures, but it's not quite ready, yet!
I go to Kohl's to look at some bedding. It's in a town ten minutes from my house called, Coconut Creek. It's such a cute place! Can I just tell you the Wal-Mart there looks like paradise? It's unreal! From afar, I noticed the blue roof, but thought, there's no way that could be Wal-Mart! Sure enough, it was. First off, it's huge! Second, the drive is lined with palm trees! Are you kidding me? It's Wal-Mart! Altoona's Wal-Mart is lucky to get a shrub coming up through the cracks in the cement! Even Jordan Creek's Wal-Mart looks ghetto compared to this one! I'm definitely going back to take a picture, because you won't believe your eyes!
So, I've been addicted to The Hills' marathon. Apparently, the final season starts on Tuesday! So much has happened since I left the cable world! My friend told me, "Welcome back to reality." Exactly, Maddie. You couldn't be more right! It's so sad how life revolves around this, and you really have no idea of the outside world unless you live on the Internet, or are able to flip on the television for a couple of minutes! At least, the reality world. So sad. Even though I feel myself getting more dumb the more I watch it, I can't help it! Thank goodness tonight, I'm watching the ever-anticipated History Channel's, "America: The Story of Us." Fascinating! I love history! They say that almost everyone can trace their ancestry to the Mayflower. I CAN!! My ancestors came over on the ship-o'-glory! ;)
I lay out for an hour again today. I did red, but luckily, do not look like a lobster! This sun is brutal down here! And it was even overcast! But I need to get tan so I look good in my yellow bridesmaid dress! I can't be the ghost in all of the pictures! ;) Then, I go to a promotional deal for work. It's at the movie theatre here in Boca. Okay. First of all. It's the best movie theatre I've ever seen in my life! It's unreal!
The outside looks like a palace! They have valet parking! What kind of movie theatre does this?? The lobby has chandeliers, rounded-vault ceilings, marble floors, etc.! They have your typical concession stand, but listen to this! You buy a ticket for around $15 and you go upstairs! Here, there is a restaurant, where they have all kinds of food, and you get free popcorn and wine to watch your movie!!! Insane!!! How much fun would this be on a date? You get dinner, drinks, and a movie all in one place!! I love it!
I'm sitting there, working, and make friends. The manager of the movie theatre tells me I should go see a movie after I'm done working. "I would love to," I tell him. "What would you like to see?" He asks. "I would love to see 'Date Night.'" So, he goes and gets me a ticket! This was the first time I went to a movie by myself! It wasn't bad, if I do say so myself! I get myself a little kiddie-size popcorn and candy and head in. It's slightly nerve-wracking to go in by yourself, so I tried to play it cool. Of course, as you all know, that never ends up happening. Nope. Instead, I spill some of my popcorn on the floor, dropping my drink to my straw. At the bottom of the stairs. In front of everyone. Sweet.
The movie is hysterical! Oh my goodness!!! You have to go see it, if you haven't already! I was laughing so hard, my stomach hurt! Steve Carell and Tina Fey have got to be two of the funniest people ever! They make for the perfect comedic couple! Great movie quotes that will most definitely come up in typical conversation.
Note to self: Never ever buy organic peanut butter from Publix. It tastes like sawdust! When you open the container and oil spills over the lid, it makes you want to vomit a little bit. Then, when you try to mix it all together, and the peanut butter slides off your spoon, you want to vomit even more! Peanut butter is not suppose to be of soup-like consistency! When you try to help the environment, it gets you no where. Wasted money, empty belly, and a can of peanut butter that will not get eaten. So, you put it in the fridge, thinking it may harden up. But then when you start writing this, you realize how disgusting this sounds. Suck it up, go buy the Jiffy and toss out the glass-jarred, earth-friendly peanut butter!
Who knew that John Hancock and Paul Revere were one of the first members of what is now Bank of America. I'm telling you, you have to watch this!!! The History Channel's, "America: The Story of Us."
