Day 52

October 28, 2009

Okay, I need to talk about Twilight. I cannot put it down! I use to ask myself, who gets into a book about vampires? That's just ridiculous! No, I'm ridiculous for not reading it earlier! I'm finding myself reading ahead in anticipation of Edward's next move. Which, by the way, I'm absolutely in LOVE with him! He is so perfect, I can't even explain it! I want him to caress MY cheek, brush his lips on MY jawline, and tuck MY hair behind my head! Everything that comes out of his mouth is so poetic, I find myself smiling and laughing giddily. I'm like a teenager all over again! ;) It's so funny!

Let's just say, I got home at 5:30 tonight and it's now 10:50--I have yet to turn on my tv, have a phone conversation longer than ten minutes, or even eat dinner! I have become part of the phenomenon. My friend Greg says, "Remember Ashley, you're educated." He doesn't agree with my liking! ;) He just does not understand!

When it rains, it pours! Lately, I have been in a MAJOR slump. I am being dramatic about how life never works in my favor, why can't things go right for me, I'm a failure...blah, blah, blah. I am completely over myself right now! It's time I get a grip. Well, today...I get an internship at Better Homes & Garden Magazine in the Fashion & Beauty department! How perfect is that?!?! I can't even believe it. The opportunity I told you I thought I blew about a week ago? This is it! So, I didn't blow it! Yay!!!!! I start next Wednesday! Plus, I get an e-mail about interviewing for a receptionist position (I obviously turned it down), a phone call from a PR company wanting to set up an interview, and a magazine in Naples, FL, offering me freelance work! I tell ya' what! I would rather have this problem, than the one before! ;)

I do start my training as a hostess for Ruby Tuesday's in Times Square. It's such a nice place...much better than Planet Hollywood! No more selling VISA cards, standing in the cold of the front door! I do miss the employees, though! The trainer has me a little distracted by his rather tight pants and bulging penis. I think he may or may not have caught me peeking a couple times--I took the shifting of how he was seating as a hint to control my wandering eyes. How can you not stare at that though? Especially, when his two partners in crime down there are practically staring me in the face as he stands over me, while I sit in the booth? You can't. Any woman would do the same thing in my position.

Off for more reading! Goodnight!

Note to self: Is it wrong or weird to wish that you had a man like Edward in your life? I mean, he is just a character from a book? The fact that his mysterious, perfectness is so mesmerizing you think about one day, a man saying all this to you? And hopefully, looking like this? Maybe, but for the while, it's always fun to pretend! Then, you need to realize, your life is not meant for someone like this. It's a proven fact--one man is psychotically/obsessed with you and still calls you even though he's married, with a baby on the way. A few others are your typical male "whores." Then you get one who really isn't interested in you at all, has a good way of hiding it, but is still pretty psycho and just not normal when it comes to relationships. Then one who is perfect, minus the numerical differences in body measurements (no, I'm not talking about his "member"). Then, you get one who wants to talk with you on the phone, but not really see you in person. Just realize that you're doomed. But that one day, your imperfect, Prince Charming will come along and all of his imperfections will suit you perfectly! ;)
