Less than 100 days left! I need to do a re-cap of the last year of my life on my last blog! Everything that I've seen, done and said has been crazily-perfect!
So, I'm running on two and a half hours of sleep. Yup. I was up until about 4:00 this morning working. It sucks because I'm the type of person who is smart, but it just takes me a little longer than most to read and retain information. I've never been one to catch on to information really quickly. So, I have to read things two or three times before everything really sinks in. I'm training myself to be a lot quicker at this. I have to be! PR doesn't slow down for anyone!
So last night in my attempt to find professional contacts, I signed up for LinkedIn. Little did I know that when I signed up, I asked every single person I've ever emailed to "connect" with me. All of the professionals I asked are great! Some of the personal contacts might be surprised they received an email from me. To those people...I didn't mean to do that. It's pretty cool though how it works out! If you don't have it, you should sign up for it! Oh yeah, and Jigsaw.com. Such a great reference resource! You can find pretty much any professional in any field! It's fabulous! I've become a little media detective! I love it!
Research is so much fun! You learn so much information and become so much more informed about the world. I can now say that I know about drug laws, prescription drug addiction, drug detox, and everything in between. It's really interesting. So, if you know of any health editors, writers, bloggers, etc. looking for stories, send them my way! It's a really compelling and interesting story.
Oh my gosh! You guys have to read this story! It's about a two-year-old who smoked 40 cigarettes a day! No joke! Check it out here! It's outrageous that parents allow this to happen. As you read, you'll notice that the parents let him do it because he throws tantrums if he can't have them! Are you kidding? All two year olds throw tantrums! He's not going to live long enough to hit the pre-teen tantrums! Can you even imagine?? Who knows what else he'll be smoking by the age of five!
Okay, I have to get some sleep. I'm so tired my tummy hurts. So, I'm going to eat and hit the sack!
Note to self: "On the whole, human beings want to be good, but not too good, and not quite all the time." -George Orwell
It's fun to break the rules sometimes. As long as it's not hurting anyone or anything, you have to live on the edge sometimes. Make your life exciting! You only get one!
