Day 176 - Day 178

February 26 - February 28, 2010

This was, for the most part, a quiet weekend. I have a lot of saving to do for the near future. Friday night was movie night at my apartment! Nice and relaxing, I suppose. The fact that it was STILL snowing all day and all night Friday pretty much put a damper on going out to do anything. But you have to love movie nights!

Since the snow was coming down all around us, I had to dress like an Eskimo to make it to work dry and decent. I had my dress on, over a pair of black sweatpants, my rainboots, a huge scarf, and my red puffer jacker. I looked like a walking marshmellow, dyed red. Guess who I see scraping off his car? Yup. The firefighter. Of course! Son of a gun! I look like I weigh 300 pounds, trekking through the snow, while my umbrella is blowing me every which way on the sidewalk. Fabulous!

I'm actually going to miss seeing him from time to time. I guess I'm going to have to find a new firefighter in Florida to take his place. Or maybe a cabana boy? Whichever one works for me! ;) And I was actually thinking about this. I'm not going to see snow for a really long time! I got sad for a brief moment--meaning about 30 seconds, then I quickly got over it! ;) It's nice to grow up with all four seasons,  but then I tell myself, you can have all four seasons. It's called...vacation. ;)

So, my friend, the chef, is okay! Yay! His surgery went fantastic! I was so excited to see his face and hear that everything is on track to healthiness!

Lately, I've been told about all of the nice and caring things people have been saying about me--supporting me in my future endeavor. The fact that I'm crazy and moving again! I really appreciate it, so thank you! It means a lot! As you know, I'm nuts! And right now, I'm super stressed out! A guy at works told me, "Ashley, you seem really stressed out." Well, minus the fact that I couldn't keep still because I consumed two extra-large cups of coffee, plus two more xl cups of pop, he's correct. For those of you who know me, I wear my heart on my sleeve. It's so hard for me to hide my emotions. Which reminds me of a movie! My brother will be so proud that I am finally able to quote a movie. Watch this!

So, I'm a terrible friend and forgot to write in my blog it was my friend, Greg's, birthday a couple of days ago! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GREG! He moved back to Iowa from Salt Lake City! Welcome home, pal!
But I'm telling you right now, he's going to miss it there! He loves his snow and he loves outdoor winter activities! I just tell him, I'm counting the days until he goes back. Or at least back to a place that's similar to the SLC! Here are a couple pictures of Greg and I--my friend since 3rd grade!

As far as Sunday goes, I'm now sick. All of this climate change has done no good for my system. My aunt and mom tell me I sound awful, so this is no good! Time for a serious dose of cough medicine and rest!

Note to self: Buy a P-Touch! It's one of the best inventions around! When you become a labeling machine at work, you realize how fabulous and easy this would make your life! It's a typewriter, printer, and cutter all in one! Fantastic! What this really boils down to is...enjoy the simple things in life!

Side note: I just remembered this point. I'm glad I didn't forget. Did you know they legalized marijuana in New Jersey? Ha! That's hilarious! Especially, New Jersey! Those fist-pumpin', mega-tanners are going to be even more crazy! Just imagine next season's Jersey Shore episodes! Pandaemonium, I tell you! Snooky already looks like she's hyped up on something...is she hiding something in that bump-it of hers? ;) After looking at their website, I'm seriously at a loss for words at the potential this has. I love it! Way to go New Jersey for continuing to live up to your stereotypes!
