Day 195 Cont.
Oh St. Patty's Day! I love it! After I finished my short blog, I got ready to go out! I wore an outfit, I would typically never wear. But I thought, what the hell?! I'm goin' all out! You know those leggings women are wearing now-a-days, with a top over them? Well, I wore the leggings, but my top wasn't long enough to cover my booty! So, I was rockin'! This sounds really conceded, but everyone has thought this! You know how you look in the mirror and you think to yourself, I look good today! Today was one of those days! Hehe! ;) Check out my pictures on my Google Profile! Under Picassa Web Albums.
I decide to take the train down there and cab it home, considering I estimated my arrival at my apartment to be no earlier than 3 a.m. I'm walking and walking. Then I notice people staring at me. I was really confident when I left, then all of a sudden I felt like a hooker. I didn't look like one, but I got pretty self-conscious. I get really nervous when people look at me. But then I thought, who cares?! Let them stare! So, I held my head high and walked through that train station like I owned it! ;) Because that's something to be proud of...obviously. ;)
All of the St. Patty's Day troopers were already home by the time I went out! Too much green beer, too early in the day! Such a shame! I'm actually quite jealous because I wanted to be out celebrating on such a beautiful day, but I was stuck working! Boo! So, the only obnoxious thing I saw was a rather large women, leaning out of a cab, yelling, "It's St. Patty's Day Mother F***ers! Wheeeewwww!" Classy, I know. She was a prize winner!
I met Kara downtown and we went to the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District. It's a swanky penthouse bar, where you overlook the city! It's beautiful! When we walked in, all I thought was, Wow, all of the men here are kind of old. Really attractive, but a little old for my liking. When I say old, I mean like my dad's age. Which in all actuality isn't old, but a 46-year-old, dating a 25-year-old? Not so much for me. Then Kara says, this is where the money-hungry women come and snatch up the trendy, older men. I totally saw it! A man from Italy did tell me I was perfect! That was sweet! Too bad he was wobbling all over the elevator. Then proceeds to trip and stumble on the cobblestone street as he exits the building! Hehe! He was ready to party!!
We get to the Kiss 'n Fly and we have VIP seating! Woop! Woop! It pays to know people! Okay, I'm not the one who knew anybody, but my friends are! That's all that matters! Plus, free bottles? Where do I stand?? =) This is such a great dance club! Again, it's an uber-trendy hot spot for richy rich kids and often celebrities. No celebrity sightings last night, unfortunately. But I just acted like I fit right in! It worked!
At one point of the night, I was standing and overlooking the dance club from our seats, just watching people. It was funny! You could totally tell who the male models were--they are so funny! Yea, they're insanely hott, but to talk to them. Forget about it! No personality! Then you had the fist pumpers of the bunch, singing every song at the top of their lungs. Yea, they thought they were studs! Excuse me, steroids, your fo-hawk is higher than my ponytail! And I don't even know if I could fit into your shirt. Did you paint it on?? I will have to say...all of the guys had on exceptionally fantastic denim! A man who wears great jeans gets an A++ in my book! And shoes, of course! Shoes are big for me!
So, we're standing there and this guy comes up to me and asks where some birthday party was. I say, "I don't know." He says, okay and we leave it at that. We part ways for a brief moment, then when I turn back around, I notice him still standing there. He's cute, so I figured, why not? I go up to him and start talking and from then on, he was my dancing partner for the evening! He's as crazy as I am! It was great! We had so much fun! We even did a little ballroom dancing, with a dip at the end, of course! Probably the funnest guy I've ever been dancing with! Him and my friend, Tim from back home. Tim does know his ballroom dancing moves! =) He wants to take me out! Of course I would meet someone right before I move!
My calculations were correct. I walked in my apartment at 3:05 this morning! Wonderful St. Patty's Day! Problem: I was up at 7:45 a.m. to be at work by 9! That was brutal! But it wasn't bad. Well worth it, in my book!
Note to self: When people talk to you, regardless of whether or not you think you ever see them again, pay attention to what they're saying! Because now, here is someone who wants to take you out, and who told you a handful of information and you don't remember any of it! You didn't even remember his name! That's bad! Especially when he remembered everything about you! No good, sister!

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!!!! I'm going out tonight in the Meatpacking District!!! Maybe I'll see some famous people! They do tend to hang out down there!! Kiss 'n Fly, here I come!!! I won't be blogging tonight, so I hope enjoyed your day!!!
Note to self: When you're only in town for another week and a half, go nuts!!!! You've worked your little booty off since you've been here!! Not that going nuts hasn't happened, but like grandma says, "Kick up your heels and enjoy your last 11 days in NYC!" You have to listen to your elders!! ;)
