Day 183 - Day 185

March 5 - March 7, 2010

Once again, a quiet weekend. Being broke is no fun! ;) Friday night, my friend and I went to a diner because we wanted "breakfast for dinner." Aren't these nights the greatest? I love pancakes at 10 o'clock at night! Especially, chocolate chip! Yum!

Saturday night...nothing. Went to work, then went home. Nothing exciting at all. The weather was gorgeous here Sunday! Oh my goodness, Spring Fever! I love it! Nice weather makes you feel different! You feel lighter, happier, you smile more! It's fantastic! Just imagine when I'm surrounded by palm trees, the smell of the ocean, and sand in between my toes?? A smile is never going to leave my face! ;)

The Oscar's! My favorite part is not the actual presentations. It's the dresses. What are your favorites this year? My favorite was Sarah Jessica Parker's vintage Chanel! The other was Demi Moore. The worst was Charlize Theron. It looks like the roses are grabbing her breasts. Not okay. Everyone liked J. Lo's dress. Although, interesting, I feel like the spiral-like shape is similar to other dresses she's worn recently. Also, it looks like the side piece was "clicked" on there. Ha! Same with Queen Latifah. I love the Queen, but she wears the same style every year. I know she's a bigger woman, and I find her absolutely gorgeous, but with all of the fabulous designers out there, spice her up a little more!

I must say, I absolutely LOVE the bracelets everyone wore! The glitzy, chunky bangles! I want them all! I loved Faith Hill's! And Sandra Bullock and Kate Winslet's hair is beautiful. The simplistic, yet chic waves are modern, but classy! The loose hair like George Clooney's girlfriend and J. Lo's thrown up bun is too sloppy for such a prestigious event. I'm sure it took time for it to look so sloppy as well. The time was wasted, not well spent.

And I would just like to make a comment about Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler presenting together. It pretty much made my weekend! Bradley Cooper is just plain sexy! Gerard Butler has the "bad boy, next door" look going for him, which all woman find super sexy! Whew! Good choice, Oscar people. Good choice!

I swear to God, my grandma knows everything! I do not know how she does it, but every time she says something is or isn't going to happen...she's right. I always disagree with her saying, "Yeah right, that's not going to happen," or "I really think you're wrong this time." Nope. I'm always wrong. There are some things, I wish she were wrong about. Of course, when she tells me, I'm going to find the man of my dreams in Florida and live happily ever after...I want her to be right! ;) She's my personal psychic! Ha! She's a wise woman. Hopefully, one day, I can be like this!

Note to self: Baseball is a great way to look at life. It definitely throws you curve balls when you feel like you've already won the game. Life is a never ending game. Just when you think you're ahead, the other team scores. You can strike someone out, but they always come back for another pitch. The saying, "it's just a game," has value to it. Life is just a game. Learn how to play it. Learn how to win. Learn how to lose. Learn that whether you strike out, hit a home run, or get a walk...you'll always get another swing of the bat. And always know, there's someone in the bull pin, waiting to take your place. Be strong and be confident with each play. Everyone scores at some point. And if someone scores against you, don't get down. Because in the end, you will win your game of life. Give yourself no other option. ;)
